Punctuality

To ensure the best possible learning in school your child needs to arrive on time (8.50am) and attend school every day.

Homework

Homework will be sent home on a Friday and should be returned the following Wednesday. Please ensure your child tries their best with this homework and do offer guidance and support when needed, whilst still allowing your child to work out answers for themselves.

Reading

Please read with your child every day and record this in his/her reading record. It is important to question your child’s understanding of what they have read. The reading record is to be signed and returned the next day to show your child has read at home (15-20 minutes).Your child’s book will be changed every Monday.

PE

This year PE is on a Wednesday and a Thursday. Your child must be in full kit every week. PE kit is; black shorts, white polo shirt and black pumps. The Wednesday lesson will be outdoors, therefore if you wish (as the weather changes) your child can wear black tracksuit bottoms/jacket and trainers.

Snack

Children in Year 2 can buy a drink and snack from the snack trolley during morning playtime. They can choose from orange or apple juice and a variety of fruit. Both drinks and fruit are 20p each. If you would like to pay for the week, please put the money in a named envelope and hand it in at the beginning of the week. Alternatively, your child can bring in 20p per day.

We look forward to our exciting term ahead. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
