Uniform Standards

8thFebruary 2019

Dear Parents,

Uniform

When visitors come to Brentnall, they often comment how smart our children look and this is something we are extremely proud of. We are sure that you will agree that wearing our uniform gives the children a sense of pride, belonging and ensures high expectations.

This term, however, we have noticed that some children have not been wearing the correct school uniform.  Our uniform should be as follows:

Core Uniform:

  • Black or grey trousers, skirt or pinafore
  • White polo shirt  for Nursery & Reception
  • White shirt or blouse for Years 1-6
  • School tie (Years 1-6 only)
  • School sweatshirt or cardigan
  • School blazer (Years 5 & 6 only)
  • Black school shoes

Summer Term:

  • Black or grey shorts with …
  • White polo shirt  for Nursery & Reception
  • White shirt or blouse for Years 1-6
  •  Yellow checked dress

PE:

  • Black shorts
  • White t-shirt
  •  Black pumps

It is expected that children with long hair wear their hair tied up in a bobble

Pupils are asked NOT to wear:

  • Hair accessories that are not black, grey or burgundy (yellow gingham for Summer Term)
  • Jewellery –necklaces, bracelets and earrings
  • Trainers
  • Football tops

Please ensure that all children are in correct school uniform for the first back after the half term holiday on Monday 25thFebruary.

Each morning, members of staff will be checking that children are wearing the correct uniform. For those children who are not wearing appropriate clothing, we will be asking parents to bring the correct uniform back to school.

As always, we thank you for your support with this matter.

Kind regards,

Mr. M Thompson
